In TMN ESWC and TMNF, the rammstein (shortened to ramm) is the slightly raised road border, usually black or light blue in colour. Landing on the rammstein often causes landing bugs.
When the wheels of the car travel on the ramm, a rammstein bug (also shortened to ramm) can often be triggered. This is a “collision” with the ramm, causing the colliding wheel to be lifted upwards. This bug is often detrimental, though in some cases it can be useful - for example, on the campaign track A03-Race, the world record uses a ramm bug to lift the front wheel up just before a jump. This causes the nose of the car to then dip down as it lands in the following downhill, thereby reducing airtime and increasing speed.
