Neoslide is a technique used to initiate a slide on asphalt (for the Stadium car), especially when it is impossible or undesirable to perform a regular drift.
Situations where a neoslide are useful include:

  • having to drift at low speeds (< ~180km/h),
  • having to drift when visible skid marks are still present but not separated (that is, the car has full grip),
  • having to initiate the drift with very little time to set it up, that is whenever steering for long enough to initiate a regular drift is impossible.

To perform a neoslide, the player has to:

  1. steer in one direction
  2. stop steering momentarily
  3. begin steering again, and press brake at roughly the same time
